Research Interest

Teleosts exhibit a variety of sex determination and differentiation mechanisms. Interestingly, generation of monosex population and hormonal induction of sex reversal are possible in several fish species. We are interested on the role of aromatase, a key enzyme in estrogen biosynthesis, during sex differentiation in the Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens).
