About: 

S. Mannathan was born in Kuruvinatham, Pondicherry, India in 1983. He completed his B. Sc. and M. Sc. in Chemistry at St. Joseph’s college of arts and science, Cuddalore (Tamilnadu), India. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2011 at National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, under the supervision of Professor Chien-Hong Cheng. Later, he moved to University of Groningen, The Netherlands and worked as postdoc under the guidance of Prof. Adrian Minnaard and Prof. Johannes G. de Vries. Currently, he is working as Assistant professor (DST-Inspire) in SRM University, Kattankulathur, Tamilnadu.

Applications are invited for one JRF position under the DST-Inspire project entitled " Metal-Catalyzed New Cross Coupling Reactions”

The position is purely temporary and will be funded by DST project. The selected candidate will work in the Research Institute, SRM University, Kattankulathur, Chennai.

Requirements: Master degree in Chemistry (Organic / Inorganic chemistry) with a minimum grade of 60%. 

Project Durations: 5 years; Initial contract is for 6 months. Later it will be extended, based on his/her performance

Other benefits:  Based on his/her performance, the candidate may be entitled to register for Ph.D program of the institute
