Advances to the industrial internet will be accelerated through increased network agility, integrated artificial intelligence (AI) and the capacity to deploy, automate, orchestrate and secure diverse use cases at hyperscale. We in the School of Computing(NWC) have started offering B. Tech in CSE with specialization in IoT, from the year 2018. This Programme been offered with idea of educating the students with basic knowledge on IoT architecture, IoT Protocols, Wireless Networking, Edge/Fog Computing, Machine Learning with theoretical and practical experience.

IoT Programme Possess Specialised Lab called the IoT Centre of excellence equipped with hardware devices like Microcontroller (Arduino, ESP32), Wireless Technologies like (6Lowpan, LORAWAN, Zigbee, BLE), Raspberry Pi4, Drones, Robots, Camera. The School of Computing, started offering the program on B.Tech in CSE with specialization in Cyber Security, from the year 2018. M.Tech Information Security and Cyber Forensics(ISCF) is Supported by an Antivirus product development company Computing Pvt. Ltd., Chennai. Also offers 5 years Integrated M.Tech in CSE with specialization in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics from 2021 onwards.

- The Cyber Security Education SRM IST received DSCI Award in the year 2016
- SRMIST is partnered with EC Council, NASCOM for International Certificate Training and Certifying.
- The Cyber Security program has international collaborations with Victoria University, Australia and La Trobe University, Australia etc.
- Furthermore, SRM is having industry collaborations with EC Council, K7 Computing, NASCOM, Microsoft, AWS, Symantec, SETS (Society for Electronic Transaction Security-initiated by PSA to Government of India), and Startups by Alumni of SRM.
