SRM Model United Nations Conference is a simulation of the United Nations held every year at SRMIST, Kattankulathur. The conference aims to inculcate a holistic approach towards debating, public speaking, and current affairs. SRM MUN provides the unique experience of discussion on matters that are deliberated on at a global scale.
SRM MUN promises quality and diversity in its exposure, as 40% of its participants are external contenders. Not only does this associate to fame, but also pursues a Legacy. The Delegation of SRM MUN has participated in numerous MUNs around the country and has bagged awards of Best Delegation with a remarkable success rate of 96%. SRM MUN has not just left its mark in the Southern MUN Circuit, but left a trail of success in several circuits across the nation.
The Legacy does not end here. SRM MUN's social impact has been impeccable, as each of the resolutions of the debate has been submitted to the regional UN information centre - United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan. This has resulted in several years of collaboration with the institution. Other organizations who have previously collaborated with SRM MUN include Teach For India and a campaign by UN Women, known as HeForShe.
