List of experiments:

  • Determination of shear center of an open section.
  • Determination of shear center of a closed section.
  • Determination of the principal axes of an unsymmetrical section.
  • To check the design aspects of a constant strength beam
  • Determination of principal stresses and position of principal planes of a hollow circular shaft subjected to combined loading.
  • Determination of the critical load of a column using south well plot.
  • Verification of Maxwell Reciprocal Theorem.
  • Verification of Principle of superposition.
  • Investigation of the structural behaviour of a semi-tension field beam.
  • Determination of the hoop stress and meridional stress in a thin-walled cylinder subjected to internal pressure.
  • Determination of the ratio of forces carried by each wire in a system of a hinged bar suspended by two wires of different materials.

A faculty development program has been organized in“Data Acquisition using Labview in Aerospace Applications” during September 16-19, 2017 in connection with the Aerospace Structures laboratory.
