The following infrastructure facilities are available in SRM IST Kattankulathur Campus for sports & games
- 4 volleyball courts with flood light and link mesh fence around the court. The courts are of 2640 square meter in total
- 5 basketball courts with flood light and link mesh fence around the court. The courts are of 5000 square meters in total
- 2 football fields with link mesh fence around the court. The courts are of 18000 square meters in total
- 1 hockey field and it is of 7000 square meter
- 400-meter standard mud track with a raised border. The size 400 meter equals 21,600 square meter
- 5 tennis courts cum ball badminton court with flood light and link mesh fence around the court. The 5 courts total up to 3000 Square meter
- 1 cricket field with 3 cricket net practice pitch which totals up to 720 square meters
- 4000 square meter mini indoor stadium with 2 badminton courts and provision for playing table tennis.

Directorate of Sports SRMIST has been running a 6-week Certificate Course in Sports Coaching in Collaboration with Sports Authority of India from 2014 onwards for which participants come from all over India and abroad. And in the Southern region of the country SRMIST is the only Institution which has been running this programme for the past 5 years.
