Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a research project “Comparative Resistance Study to Identify Molecular Markers for the Control of Dusky cotton Bug Oxycarenus laetus Kirby (Hemiptera: Lygaeidae) across Habitats using Mitochondrial DNA and Transcriptomics approaches“ funded by DST-SERB YSS, Govt., of India.
Eligibility: First class in M. Tech. / M. Sc., Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Computational Biology. Knowledge in Next Generation Sequencing Technologies such as Transcriptome / Exome / Genome analysis is preferable. Knowledge in Linux, Perl, Python/PHP and HTML is must. Expertise in Molecular Biology techniques will be preferred.
Stipend: Rs. 20, 000 per month (fixed)*. CSIR – NET is preferred.
Registration for Ph.D.: Selected candidate should register for full time Ph.D. program at SRM University, Kattankulathur, Chennai.
