Vice Chancellor of SRM University, Professor Prabir Bagchi, and Chief Operating Officer ELS Educational Services,Inc. Mr. Reiji Terasaka met recently to reaffirm the growing partnership between the two industry leaders.
“English is the language of business and commerce,” said Prof. Bagachi. “And it is our ambition that each and every student is able to gain access to high quality English language training, and leverage rewarding careers in top notch companies the world over.”
ELS is globally recognised for its English language services that provide opportunities for students to access higher education in English speaking countries. This is done through their innovative pathway model, where students come to study for up to 10 months depending on their language proficiency, gain fluency in the language, and transfer to an institution of higher learning.

ELS zeroed in on SRM University when scouting its first ever pathway learning centre in India, mainly for its international outlook, and new ideas of learning and teaching. In the last two years, the centre has traineda number of students from Afghanistan, Africa, China, Japan, South Korea and the Middle East. The numbers are expected to grow substantially over the next few years.
SRM integrates an innovative career development model, enabling students to acquire the competencies needed in soft skills such as communication, team work, and personality development. Starting from the time they enteruntil when they leave, students are given structured learning interventions to gain the confidence needed to face placement interviews and land lucrative jobs in highly prized national and international companies. In addition to the integrated career development model, the “ELS Job Ready English” will be launched as a pilot program to further hone the language skills of students.
